1st April 06 Prescot reservoir 4 sand martins over no4 where my first migrants of the year. A chiffchaff calling was a welcome sound of things to come. A pair of Mute swans flew in from the north east maybe from Eccleston mere and stayed for an hour. 3 meadow pipits were on the grass by the green box. 32 goldeneye still on the reservoirs and 12 tufted today.
