Prescot Reservoirs. Waders on the move.
A Turnstone was the star bird today with a supporting cast of sanderling, redshank and 2 common sandpipers. Turnstone and sanderling being rarities for the reservoirs .This was my first turnstone at the reservoirs. The strong winds and rain bringing these bird down. Billy Harrison reported little egret over, the first returning wheatear and a clouded yellow during last week.
